Facilities Technician Job at FibroGen, Inc.
Responsibilities:
FibroGen is seeking a Facilities Technician to support our technical groups. This person is responsible for performing repairs, maintenance & troubleshooting to FibroGen assets as directed and with minimal supervision.
- Maintain Equipment Logs
- Provide mechanical and technical support for FibroGen’s technical groups
- Respond to emergency calls and equipment problems
- Coordinating of multiple vendors (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Vending Machines, Kitchen Supplies, Kitchen Fire System, Data Center Fire Suppression System, Sprinkler Inspection, Fire System for Building, Calibration, General Contractors, Furniture Installation, Locksmith, Office Supplies, Elevator Maintenance) on a daily basis (This includes coordinating for FibroGen & Sub-Tenants)
- Reviewing and assigning of Facilities Work Orders
- Setup of Conference Rooms
- Moving of Equipment, Office and Cubicle Relocation, Building of Offices
- Monitor utility equipment and systems for continuous operation at a world class biopharmaceutical manufacturing site, utilizing automation controls, alarm systems, rounds / readings and local controls
- Utilize the Building Management System (BMS) to control Utilities equipment and systems including various steam, water purification, refrigeration, wastewater, compressed air/gas systems, and hazardous chemicals
- Interface with Scientists, Engineering, and various client organizations as necessary to minimize impact and ensure equipment availability
- Troubleshooting: Must be proficient in troubleshooting electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical failures
- Ensure that all systems including boilers, steam generators, reverse osmosis units, air compressors, chillers, cooling towers, wastewater flows and associated equipment function correctly
- Respond to a wide range of mechanical and electrical problems and troubleshoot to repair
- Document problems encountered and communicate these through work order systems, electronic mail, and voice systems
- Perform inspections on all utility systems and associated equipment
- Work with other trade skill sets to complete work orders to trade standards and customer expectations
- Support Maintenance Planner where needed
- Perform any and all other duties as assigned, including monitoring Jr Technicians to ensure all company policies/procedures and client SOPs are followed correctly
- Report all concerns to management immediately
- Initiate the purchase of parts, materials, equipment, supplies etc., in accordance with company procedures and provide technical assistance when required to facilitate such purchases
- The ability to read and understand mechanical blueprints and electrical schematics
- Meet or exceed all project KPI's as it pertains to your roles and responsibilities
- Meet or exceed other duties as assigned to you by your supervisor
- Stay current at all times on required GMP and Safety training
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED with 8+ years of maintenance and operating experience in a GxP environment or comparable field or 4+ years of experience with applicable degree/certification/license (e.g., plumber, electrician, HVAC technician) skills, and/or abilities required
SALARY RANGE
$77,100.00-$83,100.00
