• Pay Rate: $17/hr for the overnight shift
• Shift Time: 5:00pm to 5:00am
• Two schedule options:
• B Shift – Sunday through Tuesday and every other Saturday
• D Shift – Wednesday through Friday and every other Wednesday
• Successful completion of a pre-employment background check required.

ADM, a local agricultural company, is currently looking to hire a Factory Workers for the overnight shift in Harvard, IL.

Job Summary

You will package and inspect all pet treats coming from other departments in the facility. The Factory Worker ensures treats are packaged correctly by inspecting and completing the filling, labeling, printing, and packaging process.

Job Responsibilities:

• Package treats/food/supplements based on work order details
• Inform Operators and Leads of any quality concerns
• Check package seals and lot numbers for accuracy
• Move pans and racks in and out of the pack room to support packaging
• Dump product into packaging equipment as needed
• Assist Operators and Leads with any requested duties
• Follow all pre and post-inspection procedures
• Must follow Lock Out/Tag Out, Hotwork, Confined Space procedures anytime equipment is to be cleaned, maintenance is performed or equipment is to be disassembled.
• General cleaning across plant environment including process equipment.
• Ensure products are Food Safe and produced according to Quality Standards.
• Report any Food Safety issues to immediate supervisor.
• Inspect machinery before use. Report any issues with machinery to immediate supervisor.
• Ensure that all products are labeled correctly, and Lot codes are clearly legible on each product as outlined in the product work order.
• Must be able to set up equipment to meet the packaging expectations of the product work order
• Follow the work order instructions for the products are being produced, to ensure product specifications are met and product is package in accordance with the work order description.
• Able to work weekends, shift hours or overtime as needed during peak production season.
• Able to stand for extended periods of time, ascend and descend stairs, lift up to 50lbs.
• Be on time and punctual for shift assignment
• Other job duties as assigned by the lead or supervisor

Job Qualifications:

• Must be able to read, write and speak English
• Basic math skills- counting
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to demonstrate excellent work habits in line with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Job requires the ability to bend, stoop and occasionally lift or move 25-50 pounds
