This is a growth position. The goal of this position is for the individual to grow from receptionist to legal assistant to paralegal, with salary increases at every level. The person hired could significantly increase their income in a few years.
Tampa Divorce, a fast-growing boutique family law firm located in the Westchase community in Tampa, is seeking to add an in office receptionist/legal assistant to our team. Have you ever wanted to break into the legal industry? This is your chance.
The ideal candidate will be a recent college graduate with experience handling phone calls in a legal, medical, call center, retail, or other customer facing environment, though this is not mandatory. We are willing to train the right candidate with no experience that brings a positive attitude to the office and meshes will with our team.

Our office is a Mac office. Each employee has an iMac and second monitor.
This is an in-person in-office position. Remote candidates will NOT be considered.
Responsibilities:
- Answer telephones
- Greet incoming clients
- Prepare hearing and trial binders
- Keep general areas tidy and stocked
- Scheduling
- Scanning
- Provide support to attorneys, paralegals, and other administrative staff
- Organizing client provided documents and other materials
- Assist paralegals in preparing case files
- Assist paralegals in gathering and sorting financial documents
Requirements:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe, and Outlook/ Apple Mail
- Highly organized, ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, and effectively work in a team-oriented firm
- Excellent client relations skills and telephone etiquette
- Able to stay calm and cool under pressure.
Preferred:
- One year of administrative experience (preferably in a medical or legal office, or the hospitality industry)

Pay: Hourly pay based on experience for the first 90 days probationary period. Salary review will take place after the 90 day probationary period at which point will convert pay from hourly to salary.

Schedule:
- Monday - Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Additional time as needed to complete tasks or prepare for hearings/mediations/trials.
