Family Partner (Basic Center) Job at CEDARS Youth Services
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, human services, psychology, or closely related field.
- 2 years of experience working with children and families is preferred.
- Knowledge of trauma informed care.
- Knowledge of transitional housing, rent wise, economic benefits, community resources and parenting skills.
- A collaborative team member who enjoys building relationships with others, but also has the ability to work independently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong organizational skills.
- Valid Nebraska driver’s license and a good driving record.
Reports To: Program Director
Classification: Non-Exempt
Rate of Pay: $18.25/hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday 10:00am-6:00pm or 11:00am-7:00pm/ what best meets the needs of the families

Job Summary
The Basic Center Program (BCP) works to meet the immediate needs of runaway, homeless youth, and families in crisis. Basic Center Programs provide up to 21 days of intense in-home services or shelter for youth that are unable to safely remain in the home.
Responsibilities
- Provide case management for Basic Center participants and their families
- Ensure all documentation and tracking of services is completed and up to date per grant requirements
- Develop and maintain enduring relationships with assigned families and youth
- Determine the family's eligibility for Basic Center programming.
- Complete intakes and in-depth assessments at program entry
- Develop youth driven service plans
- Coordinate care and advocate for youth’s needs
- Conduct home visit with both youth and family members.
- Guide program participants through the process of applying economic benefits, resource and other services as needed.
