We are looking for Field Service Project Manager to join our team in one of today’s most exciting technologies

Prospective candidates must be interested in creating and deploying innovative technologies, and changing the way electricity is generated and distributed worldwide. Projects range in size from 200 kW distributed generation projects to 30+ MW utility-scale projects.

The Field Service Project Manager role is demanding with high visibility within Bloom Energy and with critical customers, key vendors, and potentially manages the efforts of multiple project managers, site supervisors, contractors, and other functional support roles. The Field Service Project Manager provides coordination and oversight for projects and contractors working on field upgrades, repairs, and maintenance. This role is often customer facing, and is key to providing an extraordinary experience for Bloom Energy customers.

Location: This position will be stationed at San Jose, CA. Ability to travel roughly 30% to locations in the USA as needed.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure exemplary safety and performance during site construction and commissioning
  • Track, manage and execute assigned aspects of Field Service’s Site System Upgrade program
  • Create and execute project operations budgets and schedules
  • Create construction bid documents, SOWs, get bids, coordinate work
  • Conduct meetings to coordinate projects, keep agendas, send meeting summaries
  • On-site coordination to drive projects towards completion
  • Review on-site work and documentation to meet Quality guidelines
  • Coordination with Field Service technicians to schedule site work, lead work on site as needed, track completion to schedule
  • Verify site layout matches designs and meets serviceability requirements
  • Coordinate with site lead to create pad maps, and other documentation
  • Coordinate with Operations to verify shipments match site BOM and meet critical delivery dates
  • Travel to customer sites to provide planning oversight and coordination as needed

Experience:

  • Awareness of safety protocols on job sites, OSHA certified a plus
  • Significant field experience is also preferred with an emphasis on electrical up to 480VAC
  • Familiarity with electrical, plumbing, and building codes
  • On-site construction experience
  • Experience leading construction team
  • Interact with contractors, foremen, and workers
  • Experience with Building Departments and AHJ inspectors, permits, etc.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of five years of construction related experience
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, especially engineering, construction, or electrical related
