Avantik is seeking a Field Service Technician to join our team in the Atlanta, GA area. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who excels in fixing technical issues and would like to get their foot in the door of a national medical equipment / medical supply company.
THIS POSITION DOES NOT REQUIRE EXPERIENCE WITHIN THE MEDICAL/BIOMEDICAL INDUSTRY. 2-3 years of related experience within a mechanical, technical, mechanical engineering (or similar) environment is required.
- Will be required to travel throughout Georgia and the surrounding states. All travel is paid for and a company vehicle is provided.

- Qualified candidates must have a valid driver license and be willing to complete a background check.
Responsibilities:
- Will be troubleshooting, diagnosing and conducting preventative maintenance on histology/pathology equipment in hospital labs, reference labs, surgery centers and private office labs.
- Respond to priority service calls and perform on-site repairs at client locations.
- Build rapport with customers. Help customers in developing procedures to streamline processes or fix user-related issues.
- Evaluate client labs for additional service opportunities.
- Generate equipment sales/service/repair leads and watch for potential consumable solutions, by attentively observing client needs while on-site.
- Complete field and/or shop repairs and compile and review paperwork.
- Maintain inventory of parts. Identify parts needed for repairs.
- Follow up with Service Coordinator to ensure service documentation is up to date and complete.
Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of related experience within a mechanical, technical, mechanical engineering (or similar) environment.
- Extensive travel throughout Georgia and multiple surrounding states. All travel is paid for and a company vehicle is provided.
- COVID 19 considerations - Must be vaccinated or willing to get vaccinated within the first 45 days.
- Capable of working in a time sensitive, high pressure environment and interacting with customers / building rapport.
