JH Technologies, Inc. is looking for a high energy individual with a technical degree or service experience involving electronics, optics and electro-mechanical/optical systems. As a Service Specialist for JH Technologies you will install, maintain, perform trainings, troubleshoot, service and repair:
- Microscopy and digital imaging instruments from Leica-Microsystems
- Sectioning, mounting, grinding, polishing and hardness testing metallographic equipment from Buehler
- Scanning Electron microscopes and accessories from Coxem
- Other complementary products that round out our offerings as a scientific equipment distribution partner (see our website for complete list)
Pre-sales Support:
- Internal drive to learn and truly understand the product and service portfolio.
- Demo equipment shall be properly maintained on a current and recurring schedule.
- Demo equipment will also need to be cleaned and prepared for sale.
- Discover service and other leads with the ability to pass the lead to the appropriate sales personnel or quote the customer if applicable.
Post-sales Support:
- Customer installation and training for software, camera, and equipment usage.
- Provide service and preventative maintenance to fulfill customer contracts.
- Follow up with contracts for renewals or supplementary service contracts.
Technical Support:
- Staying up to date with technical details of new products and current software.
- Researching technical aspects of equipment use, as well as mechanical repair.
- Preparing documents to be used as reference points or repositories of information that can be used to quickly find relevant and commonly useful information.
Administrative Functions:
- Responsible for scheduling and interfacing with customers directly.
- Responsible for tracking and submitting expense reports timely and accurately.
- Maintain and ship demo equipment
Qualifications we are looking for in a great candidate:
- Ability to demonstrate great customer service skills and a having a desire to contribute to a Service team that takes Customer Satisfaction to the highest levels
- 2-3 years of Service Technician experience servicing capital equipment containing mechanical, electro-mechanical and electronic subsystems in a customer facing environment
Job Elements:
- Perform upgrades and preventative maintenance
- Provide on-site system installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment and computers
- Support in-house assembly and test as needed
- Ensure timely, professional, and effective responses to customer service needs
- Submit required field based documentation in a timely and accurate manner
- Establish and maintain effective communications with customers, Sales Reps and other Technicians
- Assist other Technicians and Sales Reps with product installations, trade shows, demonstrations, and other events as needed
- Assume responsibility for all service parts requested by or assigned to the Technician
- Maintain Service and Demo inventory in accordance with established requirements
Skills Needed:
- Experience with microscopes or electromechanical systems a big plus
- Experience building, configuring and troubleshooting PC’s (software and hardware) is a must
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong customer service and organizational skills
- Working proficiency in MS Office
- com CRM experience a big plus
- Ethical and honest approach to business success

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
