Job Title: Field Services Technician, Conveyor Installation

a Division of LEWCO is a fast-growing conveyor equipment supplier for customers in retail, ecommerce & distribution located in Port Clinton, Ohio. With deep roots in American ingenuity, LogistiQ has the experience of a 100-year-old company but operates much like a start-up with high energy and nimble speed.
We are seeking a skilled Conveyor Field Installation Technician to install, commission, and maintain our conveyor systems on-site. The ideal candidate will have experience in mechanical and electrical installation, strong problem-solving skills, and a proven track record in installing conveyor equipment. The Conveyor Field Installation Technician will be responsible for ensuring that all on-site installations are completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of the client.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: (

- Install and commission conveyor equipment and systems, including mechanical and electrical components.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the installation and maintenance of conveyor systems
- Communicate project status, risks, and issues to the project manager and internal teams
- Collaborate with other departments such as engineering, sales, and customer service to ensure project success
- Maintain accurate project documentation and reports.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent required, technical degree preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in mechanical and electrical installation, preferably in the conveyor industry
- Knowledge of conveyor system design, installation, and maintenance
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to travel to client sites frequently.
- Physical ability to work in a field installation environment, including the ability to lift and carry heavy equipment.
- Experience with basic hand and power tools
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as proposals, engineering drawings, specifications, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to draft routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
- Fluent in reading and writing English.
- Understanding of Spanish is a plus.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
- Must have proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
- Must have technical ability to use a mobile device such as a smartphone, tablet or laptop computer
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Ability to use multi hand and power tools associated with conveyor installation.
- While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk and reach with hands and arms and pick up items of at least 50 lbs.
- Employee will be exposed to materials that have SDS sheets but are not life threatening.
- Ability to climb ladders, operate a forklift and scissor lift and practice proper safety per OSHA standards.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
