Field Service Training Manager (Stockton, CA) Job at Subaru of America
Primary responsibilities include training retailer, regional, national and international (other global distributor) personnel on the technical operations, servicing, diagnosis, repair skills and processes necessary to properly service and repair Subaru automobiles. Training activities include facilitating standard instructor led courses at Area Training Centers (ATCs), oversight of Skills Assessment/Test Out programs, one-on-one impromptu retailer specific classes during technical investigations and Vo-Tech/Community college training for automotive instructors at ATCs or schools. Responsibilities will also include managing the overall operation of one of our Area Training Centers, acting as a technical resource for field investigations and participating in the development update process of existing curriculum.
The ideal candidate will possess a BA/BS degree in Education or Automotive Service with 6-8 years of automotive experience. Excellent grasp of multiple teaching techniques with strong presentation and facilitation skills. A strong understanding of electrical/electronics operation, diagnostics and logic skills are mandatory. Outstanding verbal & written communications skills plus strong interpersonal skills are needed. In depth technical knowledge is a must as well as the ability to work independently and establish positive working relationships with retailers and field staff. Excellent computer skills, a thorough knowledge of MS office suite, will have to become proficient with the online Subaru Technical Information System (STIS) and Subaru Diagnostic System (SDS).
Travel is required.
Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a driving record that is acceptable or probationary under the SOA Driving Record Evaluation Criteria Policy. Must be approved as an "Authorized Driver" by Risk Mgmt. to operate company vehicle prior to vehicle operation.

SALARY RANGE: The recruiting base salary range for this full-time position is $86,700 - $123,800. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
