FINANCE ANALYST POSITION DESCRIPTION
Overview:
Ford Land manages Ford Motor Company’s Real Estate needs including planning, design, engineering, construction management, facilities management, and transaction management services. Ford Land leads Campus Transformation and Workplace Experience initiatives.

Position Qualifications:
- Strong leadership and organization skills to plan and track a complex project, with an ability to operate effectively as a problem solver in a “start-up” type environment
- Self-starter with continuous improvement mindset
- Ability to work independently on multiple, concurrent assignments
- Strong written, oral communication, and presentation skills
- Strong ad-hoc analytical skills (i.e. blank paper analysis)
- Ability to work well with operating and finance counterparts around the globe
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills

Major Responsibilities:
- Work with operating partners to optimize hourly headcount usage, forecast development (cost and headcount), analyze actuals, develop annual business plan
- Manage salaried headcount reporting including forecast development (cost and headcount), analyze actuals, develop annual business plan
- Responsible for salary related purchased services agreements including forecast, business plan development, invoice receipting, and supporting contract development
- Participate in annual internal control and controls testing
- Search for cost optimization opportunities and efficiencies
- Review and approve Purchase Requisitions
- Complete ad hoc analysis as needed
Exposures & experiences include:
- Opportunity to develop financial data presentations and effectively communicate with Ford Land CEO, Ford Land CFO, and senior operating management
- Obtain an in-depth understanding of Ford’s profit reporting processes and systems while developing forecasting and variance analysis skills. Understand cost management and effective controls to run Ford Land.
- Leadership and overall business acumen developed through analysis of potential Ford Land strategic initiative
- Foster effective regional and global relationships with Ford Land Finance and Operating Management, Corporate Profit Analysis teams, and Treasury
- Use intuition and strategic thinking skillset to think “out of the box” on future Ford Land initiatives
