Position Overview
The Financial Controller oversees all financial and reporting functions including financial accounting, management accounting, treasury, and payroll management.
As part of a well-established and growing finance team, the Financial Controller is the cornerstone of finance and will work closely with the CFO and EVP, Finance to maintain a solid and robust finance function that can scale and keep pace as the business develops and provide management information on a timely manner to support the business needs.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the accounting function, continually developing the standard of accounting expertise, optimizing cash flow management and controlling company expenditures, including payroll and capital expenditures
- Strong understanding of GAAP with the ability to apply ASCs to our business; able to write position papers and memos that will be used to properly justify accounting to auditors
- Lead the close process using NetSuite and Floqast
- Facilitate and support business with ongoing revenue monitoring and reporting; providing key stakeholders with a monthly performance dashboard covering all key financial and operational KPIs
- Management of all client pass through costs and third party vendors
- Key point of contact for our external auditors, tax advisors and other professional services
- Supporting Human Resources in managing relationship with temporary workers, benefit providers & assisting company 401K plan
- Lead the maintenance and structure of accounting systems to ensure data is structured properly for reporting needs
- Develop and maintain internal controls and procedures commensurate with the size of the business; driving and maintaining a strong controls focus including responsibility for ensuring the accounting systems are appropriate to deliver the company's requirements
- People management/supervisory of a team of three accounting staff members, with a focus on support and training to drive accuracies and efficiencies while developing career path opportunities for each and fostering a positive work environment
- Monitor annual budget and monthly forecast to deliver reporting requirements identifying business variances
- This role is part of the Accounting team, who work together in partnership with Account Services, Business Operations and Project Management teams to ensure a seamless backbone of the running of the agency
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years of accounting and financial management experience, with 1 year of people management/supervisory experience
- Bachelor's Degree required; MBA is a plus
- US GAAP and labor law knowledge required
- Advanced Excel skills required
- Previous Agency experience preferred
- Active CPA license preferred
- NetSuite Agency a plus
- ADP experience a plus

Salary range: $150,000 – $180,000
The salary range provided represents what a potential hire may expect to earn in this role at BGB. Actual salary decisions will be influenced by several factors that we use to determine overall fit, including experience (both direct and indirect), education, training, demonstrated qualifications, and organizational need. Salary is only one component of the total rewards package offered at BGB Group.
