Uwajimaya is expanding its Finance team to add momentum to this program. We are looking for a talented professional to help improve our planning and analysis.
Key responsibilities:
- Coordinate and prepare company-wide annual plans.
- Compile quarterly forecasts and develop business outlooks.
- Help develop useful metrics to provide insight into company operations and financial performance. Regularly produce dashboards to help managers understand and track progress.
- Improve business intelligence by completing various projects and ad hoc analyses. These can be diverse in nature and touch many areas of the company.
Knowledge, skills and characteristics:
- Good knowledge of economics, accounting, statistical analysis.
- Proficient and comfortable using excel for modeling and analytical projects.
- Skilled at communicating ideas with presentation software
- Intellectually curious, open to new ideas, and able to learn quickly from both success and failure.
- Can shift gears comfortably and deal with ambiguity
- Focused on using information from customers – both internal and external – to help Uwajimaya improve.
- Able to work well with people from a variety of backgrounds in different functions of the company.
Experience:
We recognize that people can develop skills and characteristics through different experiences. We see the following as likely possible paths:
- Meaningful coursework in relevant academic disciplines resulting in an undergraduate degree conferred by a respected college or university.
- One to three years practical work experience in or around customer focused businesses or organizations.
- Experience within planning, consulting or operational auditing roles would be helpful.
