Position: Financial Programs Assistant also know as Family Self Sufficiency Program Assistant
Contracted, Part time (about 24 hours per week)
Temporary 24 months with possible extension

Position Description:
Reporting to the FSS Program Coordinator (FPC), the FSS Program Assistant (FPA) primarily focuses on resident outreach and recruitment into the FSS Program and related services. Using phone calls, emailing, flyer distribution, mailers, and other form of marketing, the FPA strives to reach program enrollment and participation goals. The FPA also supports the FPC with attendance, and instruction of various financial workshops for both FSS enrollees and other Plumley Village residents.
The FSS Program at Plumley Village is a financial mobility program that allows residents to save money in escrow upon rent increases due to earned income FSS is an employment-focused model designed to help participants reach their financial goals and access and improve employment opportunities. The FPA will also build relationships with FSS participants to better understand an individual’s situation and provide resources and connections that lead to goal attainment. Connections with community career centers, training organizations, and local employers are also important for participant career growth.
Essential Functions:
- Use various forms of marketing and outreach to meet FSS Program enrollment and participation goals.
- Support the FSS Program Coordinator in delivering FSS orientations and financial workshops.
- Build relationships with residents to better understand their needs and aspirations and connect them with the local resources and opportunities.
- Use of TCB's data collection system, CL Dynamics to document services provided to residents and outcomes achieved
- Attend trainings and continue education opportunities offer by the Community Life HUB team
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Bilingual verbal and written fluency in both English and Spanish
- Ability to understand and respect values, attitudes, and beliefs that differ across cultures and to respond appropriately to these differences with residents in planning, implementing, and evaluating programs and services
- Capable of building and maintaining positive relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders, including but, not limited to residents, senior staff, volunteers, interns, and community partners
- Ability to create outreach and marketing materials using Publisher or other design programs.
- Operate in a timely manner, with consistency and a high level of integrity and professionalism; provide excellent customer service to residents and partners
- Excellent communication, organization and writing skills
Education & Experience:
- Associates degree preferred with a focus in social work, human services, public health, community development, or related field, or a combination of education and experience.
- 1 year of previous engagement, communication, and collaboration with people of diverse socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds
- Proficiency with MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Publisher, Outlook and other computer programs
- Practiced in program outreach, enrollment, and file management
- Experience working with partners and site team members to implement programs and initiatives
- Knowledge of Yardi, Property Management databases, or CL Dynamics is a plus.
