This exempt position is part of the team that supports the Firm’s financial business systems and provides information, primarily financial in nature, about Firm activities that will assist the partnership, management and other users in making economic decisions about the Firm’s future.
Essential Duties
  • Assist the Manager of Finance and the Director of Finance in the day-to-day operations, primarily supporting Elite 3E and its other business applications that integrate with Elite;
  • Provide high quality financial and statistical reports to internal clients;
  • Develop and analyze revenue and expense budgets;
  • Analyze and report on client, matter and timekeeper performance;
  • Develop, test, validate and distribute complex reports using SQL, SSRS and/or other reporting and analysis tools based on firm requirements;
  • Act as liaison between the IT and Finance department and work closely with Finance personnel in direct support of the Firm’s financial systems;
  • Assist with system balancing and data audit activities.

Reporting Relationship:
The Financial Systems Analyst reports to the Manager of Finance and also will work closely with others at various levels throughout the firm.

Qualifications
Knowledge/Experience
  • A general knowledge in accounting processes, financial systems and databases, along with an understanding of the business functions is preferred.
  • A minimum of 1 to 3 years work experience is preferred.

  • SQL and SSRS skills are an advantage
  • Experience using Elite is an advantage
Education
Bachelor’s in Business Administration, Accounting, Economics or a related field is required.
Physical Demands
Must be able to move around the office up to 15% of the time to make copies, fax, file, etc. Remains stationary at least 85% of the time. This position operates computers and other office productivity machines (e.g., fax machine, copier, printer, etc.) on a regular basis. Occasionally required to move documents or files weighing up to 15 lbs. This position requires constant communication and exchange of information with the Firm attorneys, clients and staff. This position must be able to inspect and observe information on a computer screen at least 80% of the time.
