Job Duties
To assist in the collection and compilation of aquatic resource data that allows for comprehensive and effective management resulting in meeting constituent needs.
Minimum Qualifications
Knowledge of VA sport fish species identification, working knowledge of fisheries practice and principles, basic understanding of angling techniques. Ability to properly operate and arrange maintenance of trucks small watercraft outboard motors and trailers and specialized fisheries equipment. ability to work independently or as part of a team, to adapt to changing situations and conditions, to work outdoors in various weather conditions, to lift moderate to heavy loads, to carry moderate loads over rough terrain, to read detailed maps and other instructional information, and to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Preferred Qualifications:
Degree in Fisheries Science, or closely related field or appropriate experience documenting attainment of require knowledge, skills, and abilities. Computer skills including aptitude with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
