Position Summary

The fixed assets accountant position is accountable for recording the cost of newly acquired fixed assets (both tangible and intangible), tracking existing fixed assets, recording depreciation, and accounting for the disposition of fixed assets.

Essential Job Functions

  • Track Create and manage fixed assets

  • Construction in Progress

  • Maintain fixed assets by location and center

  • Calculate fixed asset depreciation and amortization

  • Maintain fixed Assets modules in Oracle Fusion and R-12

  • Manage and track Commercial Lease contracts

  • Tenant Improvement allowance tracking

  • Make sure all property rents are properly process

  • Prepare property rental payment and deferral schedule

  • Assist to keep contracts and records

  • Assist in other projects as needed

  • Support with entity audit providing details and info required

  • Support with entity various taxes providing details and info required

  • Support with entity various taxes providing details and info required

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelors degree in accounting
  • 3+ years of fixed asset accounting experience
  • Possess strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong knowledge and experience of fixed assets and General Ledger
  • Possess strong proficiency in Excel
  • Strong ability to apply several accounting and reporting systems
  • Strong communication and analytical skills
  • Strong ability to work in a team setting
  • Excellent interpersonal and time management skills to meet time-sensitive deadlines
  • Strong ability to give attention to detail and to perform multiple tasks at the same time
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • The Tax Manager must be proficient with the following software/tools:
  • Strong skills and experience with Word, Outlook, Excel and G-Suite
  • Familiarity with Oracle.
