Vibrant is searching for a compassionate float caregiver who understands the importance of meeting our client's needs and allowing them to Be Home...Be Well...and Be Happy!! This job requires caring for others who need help staying or gaining independence AT THEIR OWN HOME including the elderly or clients with intellectual or physical disabilities of all ages.
The basic functions as a float caregiver are to provide services to clients according to Vibrant Homecare’s policies when the clients regularly scheduled Caregiver/Direct Support Professional (DSP) is not available. The Float Caregiver, must be readily available and is paid a hourly rate (40 hours per week). In the event that visits do need covered, the caregiver must be willing to complete the visits in the surrounding areas. This position helps the agency decrease service failures, ensuring clients receive their desired/approved service visits when caregivers call in or need time off, or the agency has open visits for any other reason.
Direct Support Professional (DSP)/Caregiver Essential Job Functions (differ based on client needs):
Housekeeping/Cleaning & laundry
Meal preparation & cooking
Grocery shopping for or with the client
Transportation & errands
Personal cares and bathing
Companionship
Visit places in the community/socialize
Engage in activities (games, memory books)
Assist with goals such as, but not limited to social and behavior functioning, coping skills, self-advocacy, confidence building, relationship building, safe boundaries, etc. by Coaching, discussing, roleplaying, teaching etc.
