JOB DUTIES:
1. The ability to use specialized, power equipment: (Auto Scrubber, High Speed Buffer, Banisher, Carpet Shampooer, Hot Water Extractor, Grout Hog and the Wet/Dry Vacuum).
2. Adherence to safety guidelines and contract procedures.
3. Performs preventative maintenance check on all equipment prior to use.
4. Knowledgeable of cleaning solutions and chemical preparation.
5. Secures work area and post proper safety notices for other users of the space prior to beginning work
6. Routine dust mopping and mopping (high/low), buffing and burnishing on hard surface floors.
7. Routine vacuuming, shampooing, bonneting and extracting carpet, walls, and upholstery
8. Routine restroom, office, and/or classroom cleaning
9. Maintenance of floor care equipment
10. Ensures removal and proper disposal of chemical cleaning solutions.
11. Other duties as assigned by Contract Supervisor.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
1. Must be able to stand for long periods
2. Must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 35 lbs.
3. Must be able to operate power equipment

WORKING CONDITIONS:
1. Inside and Outside work
2. Working hours are subject to change; variable.

INTERPERSONAL RELATIONS:
1. Ability to effectively relate to persons with various types of disabilities, personalities, and cultural backgrounds.
2. Ability to work with others in a team approach with management and janitorial services.
3. Ability to effectively communicate with others.
4. Dependability and Punctuality is a must

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Minimum 2 years’ experience in floor care
2. Must be able to pass Criminal Background Check and Drug Screen
3. Motivated with the desire to help others, particularly those with disabilities
