Straight Line Design

Position: Flooring Specialist

Location: North Muskegon

Reports to: Flooring Manager, Brad Plooster

Responsibilities:

• Flooring Design/Sales/Project Management
• Actively pursue new business in the greater North Muskegon & Lakeshore market
• Collaborate with the Spring Lake/Holland sales & support staff
• Continue to grow product and sales knowledge
• Support the needs of the Showroom and the Showroom team
• Adhere to the Straight Line Design Employment Policies
• Manage all flooring work in the North Muskegon showroom territory
• Perform flooring measures, estimates, and quotes
• Assist in the selection process and processing materials (operating a forklift)
• Coordinating installers and scheduling installations with customers, including billing/invoicing when appropriate
• Working with the Flooring Manager to ensure alignment on pricing and showroom samples

Requirements:

• Experience with New Construction and Remodel projects
• Positive, upbeat, team driven attitude
• Represents SLD Values and Purpose to other employees, vendors, and customers
• Ability to communicate professionally with staff, customers, and vendors in a courteous, polite manner
• Problem solver
• Willingness to be flexible and adaptable to change
• Assist/Support other showrooms as needed
• Strong product knowledge and willingness to learn and grow
• Ability to multi-task and to prioritize numerous and continually changing tasks
• Helps others and asks for help when needed
• Working 40 hours per week, split between the showroom and job sites (8:30am - 5:00 pm Monday through Friday)
• Being detail-oriented, experienced in flooring projects, and a strong communicator

Pay: $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
