Lake Blackshear Resort & Golf Club, located in Cordele, Georgia, is looking for an extraordinary Food and Beverage Manager! We offer a culture that focuses on teamwork and high levels of customer service with an environment that empowers our team members to exceed guests' expectations.
Lake Blackshear Resort has 88 rooms, villas and lake cabins. Classic, minimalist-style on beautiful 8800 acre cypress lake with restaurant, bar, fitness center, conference center, marina with a lake restaurant, 18 hole-golf course designed by Denis Griffiths, hunting preserve, fishing and family/children’s programs. We are managed by the Southeast's premiere hospitality management company, Coral Hospitality.
Summary: This is a great opportunity for a hard-working, cheerful individual to work in a resort atmosphere of fine dining, catered events or night club. The best person for this position will demonstrate good work ethic, dependability, teamwork and a willingness to learn.
REQUIREMENTS: Please do not apply unless you have at least four (4) years Management experience involving full service dining and/or banquet and special event catering.
Job Details: This person is in a leadership position providing direction to employees for full service restaurant and bar, catered events and a seasonal restaurant and bar. The successful candidate must show they have strong leadership skills, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks. This person must be able to train and work with diverse personnel. This person must be a problem solver and pays attention to detail.
Job Duties:
- Oversees Front of the House operations in the Food and Beverage Outlets and Banquets.
- Operate outlets within budget.
- Understand and follow all opening and closing procedures.
- Have a full understanding of all computerized programs in Food and Beverage.
- Supervise Food and Beverage Staff. Observes and directs Server presentation for compliance with uniform and appearance standards. Provide training and a positive work environment for all personnel.
- Works closely with all stake holders to ensure guest satisfaction. Resolve guest complaints and concerns.
- Inspects dining room to ensure all quality and service standards are followed. Maintains food and beverage ambiance by inspecting and monitoring service stations, table linen, floors, seating, lighting and music.
- Ensures proper sanitation in all areas.
- Notifies Engineering of any facility maintenance needs through work orders.
- Responsible for alcohol inventory and insure compliance with all local and state laws.
- Train all personnel in proper serving technique, customer service and service recovery.
