About the Position:

· Responsibilities involve the planning, directing, and supervising of security programs at a forensic mental health facility. This includes developing and implementing plans to provide security to the facility, staff, consumers, and visitors and training and supervision of staff.

Job Type/Salary:

· Open/Close dates: 1/20/2023-2/2/2023

· Full-time

· Hourly payrate: $14.86

· $0.43/hr shift differentials when working evenings and nights and $0.75/hr for weekends

· Primary Working Hours are: 3:00pm-11:00pm

· FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

· Primary Work Location/Department: Security Department

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

· Two years of experience in security work and completion of two mental health-based security courses.

Special Requirements:

· Applicants must be able to pass an OSBI background check.

· Applicants must be willing and able to fulfill any job-related travel normally associated with this position and as such have a valid driver’s license.

· Upon a conditional offer of employment, Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services applicants must submit to a physical examination and shall meet the physical examination requirements of occasionally lifting/carrying 60 pounds and able to push and pull a maximum force of 30 pounds.

About us: Transitions Recovery Center (TRC) is a secure 52-bed forensic step-down unit within the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services. TRC provides evidence-based programming aimed at continued treatment and community reintegration preparation.

Drug and Alcohol Pre-employment and Pre-placement Testing: Upon a conditional offer of employment, applicants for safety sensitive positions shall be required to submit to urinalysis to test for drugs. Appointment to a safety sensitive position shall be contingent upon a negative drug test result.

THIS AGENCY REQUIRES COVERAGE 24 HOURS, 7 DAYS PER WEEK. WORK HOURS AND LOCATION MAY VARY DEPENDING ON BUSINESS NECESSITY. EMPLOYEES MAY BE REQUIRED TO WORK WEEKENDS AND OVERTIME.
