Out team is looking for an experience forklift operator . This position is responsible for operating sit-down industrial lift truck (forklift) to perform a variety of lifting and moving tasks to support our food manufacturing facility located in Northeast Philadelphia.
Responsibilities:
- Operate propane PIT
- Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment
- Valid certification to operate forklifts preferred
- Good hand eye coordination
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
- Learn and perform specific safety and operational procedures of forklift, including daily inspection, changing of batteries and/or propane tanks and troubleshooting maintenance issues
- Report any damage of a PIT or safety issue before loading/unloading
- Operate within standard operating procedures and job safety analysis
- Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
- Communicate with supervisors and other team members throughout their shift to ensure daily tasks are clear
- Ability to adapt to a changing environment
- Remove full containers of recycling or garbage to the proper areas
Minimum Requirements
- Work inside and outside a manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, cold, noise, and fumes
- Fast-paced environment with moving objects, sharp edges, and congested working areas
- Ability to push, pull, kneel, reach overhead, grasp, and lift to 50 pounds
- Must have flexibility to work overtime, including Saturday as needed.
- Must be able to work in a Safety Sensitive Position.
