Forklift Test Driver - Contract
Put a LIFT in Your Career! Hyster-Yale Group, a world-class manufacturer of industrial lift trucks, has a contract position opening for a forklift test driver in our Fairview, Oregon facility. HYG designs, engineers, manufactures, sells and services a comprehensive line of forklift trucks under the Hyster and Yale brand names. We are one of the global leaders in the Materials Handling industry and have been building relationships and partnering with our customers, suppliers, dealers and employees for over 90 years.
We are seeking qualified applicants to test drive forklifts. This position involves reliability and validation testing of prototype and production forklifts.
Job description:
Drive forklifts following course maps and instructions.
Keep accurate, legible, and knowledgeable test logs to communicate observations and events to technicians and engineers.
Perform simple facility or vehicle maintenance duties as assigned.
Follow written and verbal instructions.
Follow all safety procedures.
Must be able to pass background check and drug screening.
The following positions are available:
Swing shift - Tuesday through Saturday (3:00 p.m. to 11:15 p.m.)
Night shift - Tuesday through Saturday (11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.)
Note: These are contractor positions with potential for regular employee status in 12 months.
Prior forklift driving experience is preferred but not required. We can train the right person on the job; however, you must be able to multi-task with the use of lots of different hand and foot controls (think riding a motorcycle or a quad).
