QESC is looking for a Melt Deck Supervisor for their foundr.

The Melt Deck Supervisor position focuses on leading the department and shift to pour iron castings in a safe manner. This position is an integral part of the North End of the Foundry, which includes all steps of the production process starting with the pouring of the casting.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise melt deck employees, including conduction O3s and performance evaluations.
- Pour iron into the furnace and pour mold
- TQC weighting of the mold, ladle conditions, and pouring set-up
- Knockout ladle with skid steer
- Add alloys to ladle and iron treatment center
- Inspect iron/scrap and ensure clean melt materials
- Retrieve routings
- Understand emergency responses – power outage, fire in pit, run out, wet charge, alarms
- Understand correct safety procedures and necessary clothing
- Identify necessary escape routes
- Other duties as assigned
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: High school or equivalent.
Experience: Two to five years within a manufacturing environment.
Must have steel melting, Arc Furnace and supervisory experience.
Prefer candidate to be bilingual in Spanish and English- verbal and reading/writing

Salary: $70,000-$80,000 per year
