Summary of the Position:
The Front Desk Agent is responsible for delivering outstanding customer service to all visitors. Employee will be responsible for providing a warm and welcoming experience as well as processing visitor arrival and registration efficiently. The successful candidate will bring a hospitality mindset, positive attitude and strong attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
Hospitality:
  • Welcome visitors upon arrival, providing a personalized interaction to create a lasting positive impression
  • Assist with check-ins to ensure smooth and timely arrivals
  • Communicate with lobby team all upcoming VIP visits, events, and enhance the overall customer experience
  • Provide information to customers and visitors about Tishman Speyer amenities, surrounding restaurants, building events, etc
  • Handle any concerns and complaints from customers and visitors
  • Provide professional and warm phone and email etiquette with all personnel
  • Offer customers and visitors additional assistance when needed
  • Other duties assigned by management
Operations:
  • Participate in daily Pre-Shift meetings, ask questions, and provide a snapshot of the daily arrivals including VIPs, customer events, and ZO programming
  • Check-in registered visitors efficiently and accurately, verifying information and processing valid identification
  • Follow stated procedures for unregistered visitors while providing exceptional customer service
  • Assist the Protection Team with basic security related protocols as required, including communication with the Control Center, Fire Life Safety procedures, and ensuring the smooth function of lobby operations
  • Assist with training new team members by positively reinforcing successful performance and providing respectful and supportive peer coaching as needed
  • Adhere to all Lobby Desk Standards
Skills & Qualifications:
  • 1-2 years prior guest services experience in a hotel preferred
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent and ability to learn other new programs and applications
  • Ability to understand and communicate in English, verbally and in writing
  • The role will require sitting, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, lifting, stooping, pushing, pulling and carrying
  • A significant portion of the day requires remaining stationary
  • May be required to work additional hours beyond a regularly scheduled shift
  • Must have open availability including working weekends, early mornings, late nights, and holidays
  • Must be able to lift 15 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis
  • Must be able to follow uniform and other grooming guidelines
The base compensation for this role is $24.30/hour.
This base reflects a number of factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skill sets, and/or licensure required of an individual in this particular role. The base range is also specific to members of Tishman Speyer’s New York team, as we’ve considered factors specific to this geography.
