Medical Office Front Desk Receptionist - Pediatric Practice
Our warm and welcoming pediatric practice in North Bethesda is seeking a Front Office Receptionist who can provide first-class customer service to our patients. You will be responsible for greeting patients and their families. while working closely with our medical assistants and pediatricians.
Applicants should have great communication skills to build a great rapport with patients and their families and have at least one year's experience in the medical field.

Our office is within walking distance of the North Bethesda/White Flint Metro station and easily accessible via I-270/I-495.
Compensation:$18 - $21 hourly
Responsibilities:- Greet and welcome patients and their families as they arrive at the office
- Provides support to the office manager, physicians, billing, clinical staff, and most importantly, the patient and their family
- Provides exceptional customer service, in-person and on the phone
- Registers patients in the electronic medical record (EMR) system, verify demographics, and updates accordingly
- Comforts patients by anticipating patients’ anxieties, answering patients’ questions, and maintaining the reception area
- Collects co-payments, prepares patient receipts, and posts payments accurately via EMR
- Check insurance eligibility and obtain patient insurances referrals as needed
- Schedules appointments either via phone or in person
- Respects and maintains patient privacy and dignity of our patients and their families
- Protects patients’ rights by maintaining confidentiality of medical, personal, and financial information
- Maintains operations by following policies and procedures, and reporting needed changes
- Other duties as assigned

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail
- At least 1-year experience in the medical field
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Knowledge of basic HIPAA compliance
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office
- Experience with eClinicalWorks is a plus but will train the right candidate
- Must be able to work Monday-Friday 8 am-5 pm. Evenings and Saturdays availability
