Job Description:
Performs customer service & related duties in the restaurant’s dining area with respect to all restaurant operation activities. This position reports directly to the FOH Supervisor.

Duties:
  • Efficiently run every station as needed in the FOH (front of the house) including but not limited to the following:
o Server
o Host
o Cashier
o Refreshments/Bar
  • Maintain interior & exterior restaurant cleanliness, sanitation, & organization on a consistent basis
  • Ensure that customers are consistently satisfied with their dining experience.
  • Be professional & calm, especially while dealing with disgruntled customers & complaints
  • Attend all pre/post-shift briefings & scheduled meetings.
  • Comply with all company policies, procedures, updates, & changes &/or new material set forth by management
  • Assist with proper storage & organization of deliveries in a timely manner.
  • Communicate & report to FOH Shift Supervisor on all operational issues,
service concerns, & complaints
  • Be organized, clean, & neat in work environment
  • Ability to remember, recite & promote menu items

Working Conditions:
Primarily works indoors in a restaurant environment.
Will be exposed to abnormal temperatures as required by job duties (kitchen, refrigerators, freezers, etc)
Use of chemicals will be required for restaurant cleaning & sanitation.

Work Hours:
Will work between 4-6 hours per shift. Times and hours worked per week will vary based on operational needs.
Required to work a minimum of 3 shifts per week including nights, weekends & holidays as needed. Two of three work availability times (day or night) must be weekend shifts.
Both FT & PT available (full-time preferred)

Requirements:
HS Diploma / GED, or equivalent
Neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance.
Basic knowledge of food & beverage, service standards, customer relations & etiquette.
Ability to serve alcohol, if ever required.
Tuberculosis (TB) Clearance in accordance with the Department of Health’s Food Handler guidelines (Hawaii only - within the past 7yrs).
Able to accurately identify color-coded food plates for correct tabulation of bills.
Read, write & speak English fluently.
Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in written form.

Physical Job Requirements:
Constant Standing & walking
Frequent bending, reaching & twisting
Ability to lift up to 40lbs & move up to 50lbs through a crowded room on a continuous basis
Operate & clean restaurant equipment
Must be able to operate, load & unload trash compactor.
