Job Summary: Meridian Behavioral Health Services is seeking a
Front Office Engagement Specialist for or East Street location and for our Jackson location. The Engagement Specialist is a key player, providing high quality administrative support for the care and recovery of mental health clients. The ideal candidate must be well-organized, with the ability to work in a high-traffic, front-office, environment. The Engagement Specialist is the first point of contact with clients whether in person, via telephone or via computer. The ideal candidate will be tasked with meeting and greeting all visitors including vendors, clients and customers as well as community stakeholders; completion of paperwork on new clients, scheduling clients using Meridian’s electronic medical records system, and other administrative tasks as deemed necessary.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Advanced computer skills
- 1 -2 years of front office/receptionist experience required
- A valid driver’s license with no restrictions and willingness to travel as needed for office coverage.
- Preference given to applicants with experience in the mental health field
A successful candidate should possess or demonstrate the following skills:
- Ability to multitask in a very fast-paced environment
- Be attentive and responsive to all clients, in person, via computer, or telephone,
- Flexible, dynamic, and engaging with strong interpersonal skills
- Strong communicator with excellent written and verbal skills
- Excellent with time and task management skills
- Able to work independently or with a team
- Able to prioritize under pressure
- Strong working knowledge of computers
- Be highly extroverted, enthusiastic, and ready to excel at any task
- Ability to follow written and verbal instruction
