Burney’s Bakery of Southport is looking for an OPENER - Fry Cook
Fry Cook Duties and Responsibilities
- Set up and break down work station
- Screen and proof Croissants, Donuts and other Pastries
- Assist with prep work
- Fry pastry items
- Glaze and fill product and assemble neatly on trays
- Fill the display cases and daily orders
- Bake prepared pastries and arrange in attractive manner for case
- Operate and maintain fryer equipment
- Help keep walk-in freezer organized
- Keep work area clean
- Open store and help customers with their orders
Fry Cook Requirements and Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- MUST be reliable – shift starts at 3 AM Daily
- Culinary training or restaurant experience a plus
- Knowledge of basic cooking techniques
- Ability to stand for entire shift and withstand high heat
- Organizational and time management skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Must be able to lift 30 LBS Regularly and 50 LBS Occasionally (Block of Oil)
We are a holiday and tourist driven business so working holidays is a must.
Burney’s is open Monday- Saturday 6 AM – 5PM so you will have every Sunday off and 1 other alternating day.

Pay: $11.00 - $12.00 per hour
