Fulfillment Supervisor - 1st Shift

Monday through Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm

A Fulfillment Supervisor position is available for our Reno, NV facility. Jay Group is a leading 3PL company providing ecommerce order fulfillment to high-growth startups and Fortune 500 companies. This position will lead a team of direct reports and temporary associates to meet the business needs in a fast pace, quality orientated environment. Individual will be responsible for achieving production goals and motivating employees while building a strong team. Here are some of the responsibilities:

1. Ability to supervise and coordinate activities of workers engaged in the movement and storage of materials, the picking and packing of materials, and collation of materials.

2. Interprets specifications of jobs and projects, develops optimal production line(s) or processes, and explains to Team Leaders and Production Workers and assign duties.

3. Responsible for achieving production goals and insuring quality of products being shipped.

4. Develop a strong team by mentoring and coaching.

5. Administrate corporate policy consistently and follow appropriate disciplinary actions as necessary.

6. Approve time in payroll system.

• Two years previous supervisory experience in warehouse of light industrial environment required.
• A people person who has the ability to build a strong team with direct hires and temporary associates is imperative.
• Must be detail oriented; possess good communication skills, (written & oral), and good math skills.
• Candidate must possess good organization skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Must be mechanically adept and be able to work quickly and accurately.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word & Excel, previous experience with a Warehouse Management System is preferred.
• This role could require travel in support of new startups, training, development, and sales. 25% travel is expected, and this will change with the business needs. Startup of new sites may require prolonged travel between the various Jay Group sites.
