Forward Slope has an urgent need for a full-time mid/senior full-stack developer to join our team in San Diego, California.
Forward Slope, Inc. is seeking an experienced a software developer to provide software development and sustainment services to a Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific (NIWC-PAC) program supporting Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) programs. Responsibilities will include designing, developing, testing, deploying, and demonstrating machine learning software and services as part of the Command-and-Control Experimentation (C2X) program.
This is a full-time position under our Mission Solutions portfolio.

Required Qualifications:
- BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or other STEM field and four (4) years relevant work experience, or 8 years relevant experience.
- Ability to obtain a US DoD Secret security clearance.
- Demonstrated experience as a full-stack Java developer – design through deployment.
- Demonstrated experience developing software using Java11 or greater and maven.
- Experience working in headless RHEL environments or RHEL-based containers.
- Demonstrated experience developing software on Unix or Linux operating systems (preferably Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 or greater).
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with secure coding standards.
- Experience using SAST and distributed version control systems
- Experience using the Atlassian suite to manage and control
- Experience using Docker and OpenShift or Kubernetes
- Experience developing and testing Spring boot applications
- An ability to multi-task and thrive in a dynamic environment
