Full Time ADRC Information & Assistance Specialist Job at Iron County Human Services - ADRC
The Iron County Branch of the Adult and Disabilities Resource Center – North (ADRC-N) is seeking applications for a full-time Information & Assistance Specialist. Duties include: providing the general public, but particularly adults who are elderly or have a disability or mental health or substance use disorders with information, referral, and assistance to a wide range of community resources; help inform and educate people about their options; provide intake, eligibility determination and enrollment into Long Term Care Programs; and provide some back up for Adult Protective and Adult at Risk Services.
Qualifications: Minimum of a four-year degree from an accredited college in social work or other approved human services program or a license to practice as a registered nurse in Wisconsin pursuant to s.441.06 Stats, and the equivalent of at least one year of experience in a health or human service field, working with one or more of the client populations served by the Aging and Disability Resource Center (elderly or adults with physical or developmental/intellectual disabilities). Qualifying work experience may be paid or unpaid and may include internships, field placements and volunteer work. In addition, candidates must have valid driver license and reliable transportation. Candidate must be willing to be fingerprinted, consent to background checks & authorize release of any investigative and criminal records. Overnight travel is required to meet training and case management requirements. Health insurance coverage and other fringe benefits are a part of the county benefit package.
