POSITION DESCRIPTION
*PLEASE NOTE: This is not a remote or telework position and job may differ during pandemic conditions, as noted. This position typically provides in-home therapy services. However, due to COVID, in-home services are currently suspended. As a provider of mental health services, Center for Children is an essential service provider and we have proudly continued to support our community throughout the pandemic. Currently, therapists report to their work sites and conduct therapy services from their office via telehealth. When services return to normal operation, this position will return to providing in-home services.
The full-time Functional Family Therapy (FFT) Program Therapist is responsible for providing quality in-home* (see note above) therapy as outlined by the FFT evidence-based practices. This is a full-time exempt position, reporting to the FFT Program Site Supervisor and FFT Program Coordinator.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide in-home* (see note above) therapy services as required by the program.
- Meet and maintain a full case load of 12-15 families.
- Utilize and provide Functional Family Therapy (FFT) as indicated by the National model.
- Maintain accurate and complete progress notes on the Clinical Service System (CSS) on the FFT National Website.
- Complete all notes within 36 hours from session time.
- Submit all monthly data collection in a timely manner to FFT Coordinator/ FFT Site Supervisor.
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
REQUIRED
- Master’s degree in Human Health Services related field.
- Maryland State Social Work or Professional Counselor Licensure (LCPC, LGSW, etc.)
- Must obtain and retain your own professional liability insurance policy.
- Valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance.
- Successfully complete State and Federal background investigation and drug test.
DESIRED
- Functional Family Therapy experience is a plus but is not required. Training will be provided!
- 1+ year of experience as licensed social worker or professional counselor, preferred.
- 1+ year experience working with children and families, preferred.
- Ability to handle stressful situations.
- Good writing skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Understanding of cultural diversity.
- Organized, detail oriented, self-motivated, and able to multitask.
- Strong communications and interpersonal skills.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
- Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
- Requires regular travel to client homes and meetings.
JOB TYPE
Full Time; Exempt
SCHEDULE
Full-time schedule is typically Monday through Friday, including a minimum of two evenings per week to meet the scheduling needs of client caseload. May require occasional 45-hour work weeks, additional evenings, weekends, or occasional overnight travel.
PAY
$62,000 to $65,000, commensurate with experience and licensure level.
