The Arthur Jackson Company, founded in 1906, is the oldest and largest privately held building maintenance company in the tri-state area. We provide service to multiple locations throughout New Jersey, Delaware, and Pennsylvania. Currently we’re hiring for General Cleaners in the Philadelphia area.
Summary of Position
- Plan, organize, and control the workflow of their job duties, at their assigned location.
- Cleaning and sanitizing Conference Rooms, offices and bathrooms.
- Sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping floors.
- High and low dusting in designated areas (i.e. windowsills, file cabinets, chairs).
- Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste.
- Continued, working knowledge of chemical and equipment usage, and building policies.
- Respond with urgency when emergency calls are received, or situations arise at your assigned buildings.
- Ensure equipment is available and ready to be used.
- Evaluate cleaning products, materials, and equipment. Report equipment needs and conditions/ repair or replacements to your Area/Account Manager.
qualifications & requirements
- MUST have a high school diploma or GED
- MUST have reliable transportation
- Must comply with established policies and operating procedures
base pay & benefits
- $14.98 per hour
work schedule
- Monday – Friday, 4 pm – 10 pm
