Division description

The Kalamazoo Container Division is a full service, BRC/SFI/SWA certified corrugated facility with an ISTA certified design lab. We manufacture a wide variety of corrugated products from point of purchase graphic displays, to any size corrugated shipping container.

Job description

This is a fulltime, permanent position. Primary duties include safely performing a wide range of tasks that include stacking corrugated product, conducting quality checks, material set-up, and maintaining a clean and organized work-space. This position will be trained on a variety of production machinery. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to working safely, be able to work in a fast paced environment, a strong desire to learn manufacturing processes and operating complex machinery. Must be able to work any shift, overtime and weekends.

Qualifications

Ability to operate a variety of manufacturing equipment from flexo-folder/gluers to a corrugator, to intricate die-cut machines. Must follow specific direction, operate power hand tools, and other duties as assigned. Based on the requirements of the role, this job is a safety-sensitive position. Must have the ability to work in a constant state of alertness to workplace conditions and hazards, and in a safe manner.- Maintain a clean work environment.

  • Ability to read a tape measure and have basic math and computer skills. Ability to work safely and comply with all safety regulations.
  • Ability to lift, push or pull 50lbs, navigate stairs, stand, walk, bend, and kneel throughout the entire shift.

High school or technical diploma or equivalent preferred.

Candidates should have working knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.

Candidates must be able to pass a background, drug screen, and pre-employment physical.

Experience in the manufacturing industry is preferred.

Salary/benefits

$20.27 starting rate.
