Position Overview
The General Manager, International will lead a growing revenue generating team focused on international sales and business development. Your past experience managing similar activity will help you lead and develop this team as it grows to contribute a significant portion of Teaching Strategies' overall revenue goals. The ideal candidate for this role will have managed revenue generating teams producing $10-20 million in sales outside the United States, as well as interacting with operations, finance and marketing counterparts within a large organization to effectively develop and execute their strategy.
Specific Roles & Responsibilities:
- Leads international sales and business development team
- Develops and executes revenue generating strategies for non-US sales
- Manages account executives and supports team responsible for implementing international opportunities
- Coordinates with other TS employees to manage financial reporting and forecasting
- Work swith product development and engineering colleagues to help develop international product feature roadmap
- Develop sbudgets and manages expenses for international department
- Reports to the Senior Vice President, Corporate Development
Qualifications:
- 5+ years managing teams of 5-10 direct reports with responsibilities ranging from sales and business development to customer training and implementation
- Setting quotas and developing sales compensation plans
- Deploying training and other support resources in support of key customers
- Engaging with strategic customers and developing sales strategies to win and support key accounts
- Working with product development counterparts to ensure adequate product market fit for international markets
- Managing budget and expenses for team travel, conferences, and other related expenses
- Reporting results on weekly, monthly and quarterly basis
- Forecasting sales and revenue expectations
- Fluency in non-English languages preferred
