Program and Project Associate for comprehensive grant management consulting. Working with various federal and state programs such as CDBG-MIT, CDBG-DR, HUD ESG-CV, FEMA-PA amongst others.
The CRI-RD works with State and local government agencies to design and implement policies and programs to promote increased resiliency for natural disasters, long-term housing, economic and infrastructure recovery after disaster strikes and more recently the economic stimulus related to the Covid-19 epidemic. Our functional expertise is in program and financial management, planning, technical assistance, training, strategic communications, outreach, compliance, monitoring, and performance measurement and evaluation. Clients include States and localities administering HUD, FEMA and Federal Treasury and State funded disaster recovery, mitigation and other resiliency programs. All work is done in a professional, collegial, and intellectual environment that allows individuals to pursue their passions and generate results.
Essential duties
The position provides support of contracts and serves as a point of contact with client personnel. The position works with program managers and directly with client personnel performing contract services and may supervise staff to ensure that all deliverables and deadlines are met, provides oversight of all program activities including program system development and internal system development to effectively manage. The Program/Project Manager will provide guidance and supervise other subject matter experts (SME’s), project associates and at times other project managers in a Program Management roll.
- Reports directly to the CRI-RD program manager and lead partner in Tallahassee, Florida.
- Assist the CRI-RD program manager with contract management and performing contract services.
- Support the CRI-RD with daily operations to ensure all client deliverables, deadlines, and expectations are met.
- Perform program/contract services to meet deliverables working directly with program managers assisting in preparation of reports related to program management activities.
- Work directly with client personnel and program managers to provide guidance and subject matter expertise on federal and state regulations related to the administration of the various programs, including recommendations for process improvement.
Qualifications:
- A four (4) year Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university; relevant advanced degrees and/or certifications such as Master’s degree in Public Administration (MPA) Master’s degree in a business (MBA) or technical discipline are preferred.
- Up to four 0-4 or more years of professional level experience managing major programs, projects, or business units, and requiring a complex network of functional area coordination. (Specific to Program Manager Roll)
- Up to four 0-4 years of experience working with one or more major federal programs such as CDBG-DR, CDBG-MIT, FEMA-PA, HUD programs amongst others at the federal, state, or local level and/or private sector with a working knowledge of regulatory and statutory compliance requirements for like programs.
- Knowledge of state level grant program administration.
- Experience in the fields of disaster recovery, housing, community development, economic development, or related fields.
