Our Marketing department has an excellent opportunity for a Graphic Designer in the Firmwide (One Cleveland Center) office. This is an exempt position that reports to the Senior Marketing Services Manager. The Graphic Designer should have proven experience in design and production with an established brand, as well as with typography, color and layout principles. The Graphic Designer interfaces with the BD & Marketing department colleagues, firm leadership and lawyers to design pieces that are compelling and have a distinguished yet consistent look within the Firm’s brand.
Responsibilities:
- Work with Senior Designers to conceptualize and develop print and digital marketing and materials used to promote the Firm’s brand including video, social media posts, client alerts, one-pagers, thought leadership pieces, brochures, directories, pitch materials, electronic communications, external practice group newsletters/alerts, invitations, charts, forms, photo production and advertisements using Adobe Creative Suite, PowerPoint, HTML and other tools.
- Ability to create and edit videos for various projects including social media and website postings using Adobe Creative Suite.
- Must have the technical know-how to maximize PowerPoint's functions, and the creative background needed to beautify presentations that drive clear objectives.
- Portfolio demonstrating strong creative concepts, eye-catching visuals and execution of PowerPoint including master templates, charts, tables, infographics, hyperlinks, animation, inserting audio and video
- Has a keen interest in staying abreast of contemporary tools and technologies like AI and ChatGPT.
- Manage workflow and scheduling to ensure quality, on-time delivery of final product in all stages of the process: conceptualization, design, layout, production and fulfillment.
- Ensure the Firm materials are consistent with the Firm’s visual identity system and brand guidelines.
- Respond to requests and questions from lawyers, administrative staff, and vendors on design production; provide excellent customer service and follow through on requests to ensure needs are met.
- Provide support as needed within team and assists with special projects as assigned.
- Other duties as requested and assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related field; and a minimum of 3 years of experience.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, in particular Premier Pro, After Effects, InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator, Microsoft Office Suite including PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Excel as well as HTML knowledge. Proven aptitude to learn new software applications.
- Ability to speak effectively with all levels of clients and professional and support staff. Interpersonal communication skills necessary to maintain effective relationships with partners, attorneys, clients and staff and to exhibit a high degree of responsiveness, diplomacy and professionalism in these interactions.
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from all levels of professional and support staff, clients, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
- Ability to interact effectively with attorneys and other key personnel; to manage and exceed expectations; and to exhibit a high degree of responsiveness, diplomacy and professionalism in these interactions.
- Ability to effectively present information in both written and oral formats and respond to questions from all levels of professional and support staff and clients.
- Ability to write business correspondence, procedure manuals, reports, speeches and articles for publication that conforms to prescribed style and format.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and be detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. Strong analytical and communication skills both oral and written.
- Outstanding creativity; flexibility and persistence; motivation and energy with the ability to work with little supervision and collaborate with other members of the team.
- Ability to work overtime when needed. Work occasionally requires more than 40 hours per week to perform the essential duties of the position.
- Strong project management skills. Project and team management experience with attention to detail and a willingness to “roll up sleeves” and operate at whatever level is needed to accomplish tasks.
- Ability to coordinate the activities of department resources.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines. Ability to exercise discretion with confidential and sensitive information.
