Pay Rate: $53,000 per year. This is a Full-Time, Exempt position. Estimated time commitment is 40 hours/week, Monday-Friday.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Marketing & Communications team helps create end-to-end user experiences for the numerous audiences of Habitat for Humanity of the Charlotte Region. The experiences include those of homebuyers, sponsors, individual donors, faith and corporate partners, volunteers, Habitat employees, and shoppers of the ReStore locations. This role is to create and oversee graphic design foundations, standards, and processes that will scale with the team to be efficient, effective, and collaborative across our internal and external facing communications platforms. This person will be responsible for bringing our design systems to life. They will define the vision, strategy, and governance for our graphic design systems – ensuring all stakeholders view every marketing encounter as a unique touchpoint of a cohesive experience.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Provide internal graphic design production in a fast-paced environment
  • Work with the team to understand the latest UX/UI tools, processes, best practices, approaches, and standards
  • Along with Director, develop digital design principles and standards
  • Act as an advocate for user-centric digital design
  • Work with Senior Marketing Manager to establish project plans, development, and rollout timelines
  • Directly manage and impact any internal and outsourced design/development team's daily work by regularly reviewing designs, interface, and process funnel-providing input on best practices
  • Continuously examine, measure, and experiment with improvements to our digital presence model and processes

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Degree in graphic design. Associate degree minimum, bachelor’s preferred
  • Experience with Adobe design software such as InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong creative instincts and a good eye for visual design and photography
  • Some experience with HTML5, XHTML, CSS3, JavaScript, PHP, FTP software helpful
  • Experience with Content Management Systems (WordPress), helpful


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to sit at a desk and work at a computer for extended periods of time
