Groundsman

Hiring an entry level Groundsman to be developed into a climber and crew leader. This is an extremely physically demanding occupation. Must be drug free and have valid Oregon driver license and be willing to get a CDL. In house training provided for climbing and CDL. Experience is not necessary but work ethic, endurance, and a great attitude are essential.

Responsibilities:

- Follow instructions given by team supervisor

- Assist arborists with tree removals and pruning

- Haul tree trunks, limbs, underbrush, etc. and feed into chipper

- Use chain saws, pruners, and pole saws, leaf rakes, and pitch forks

- Leave job sites completely free of debris and damage

- Drive and operate equipment

- Uphold all OSHA, ANSI, and company safety standards

Qualifications:

- Good physical strength, fitness, vision, and hearing

- The ability to climb, stand, walk, kneel, and stoop

- The ability to transport heavy items

- The ability to follow written and verbal instructions

- The willingness to work hard in all weather conditions

- Valid driver license required

- Willingness to be trained for CPR/First Aid/ISA Arborist/CDL certifications

- Must be drug free

- Clean background check; no felony offenses

Compensation:

- Wage is dependent on effort and capability

Schedule:

- 8-10 hour shifts

- Monday to Friday
