ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Work with individuals, small groups, or the entire class to support teaching of content.
• Report to the school office at the beginning of the school day to pick up required materials/schedule of classes and at the end of the day to return materials and discuss the next day’s assignment.
• Guide the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals and objectives as indicated in the lesson plans for the lessons, units, or projects assigned.
• Take attendance according to school procedures.
• Employ instructional methods and materials that are most appropriate for meeting lesson objectives.
• Ensure the safety and supervision of students at all times, to include awareness of emergency procedures.
• Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate for the maturity and interests of the students.
• Perform other related duties as directed by the principal.

GUEST TEACHER TRAINING

• All guest teachers must attend a training session before they can begin accepting assignments for Yukon Public Schools.
• All guest teacher training will be held at the Yukon Public Schools Administration Building, 600 Maple St Yukon, OK 73099

GUEST TEACHER REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Two original forms of ID for work authorization. Bring documents or copies of documents to Workshop if new to YPS this year
• Bloodborne Pathogen Training (conducted at training)
• Background check form available at Workshop (National Criminal History Record Check) and fingerprints taken for a fee of $58.25 (if you did not work for YPS last year)

Any person applying for employment as a guest teacher shall only be required to have one such National Criminal History Record Check (NCHRC) for the school year. Guest teachers who have worked at least one day in Yukon Public Schools during the previous year will not be required to have a NCHRC in subsequent years, unless there is reason to believe there has been a change in the criminal background of the guest teacher. If a guest teacher meets the requirement to not have a NCHRC in a given year, the guest teacher's records may still be checked through the following databases: Oklahoma Department of Corrections Offender Registry, Oklahoma Probation and Parole Web Site, Oklahoma State Courts Network Web site, and the Sex Offender Registry.

• Applicants may not begin accepting assignments until all of the above documents have been completed and verified.

PAY RATE:

• Non-certified or classified Guest Teachers
• $75 per full day / $37.50 per half day
• ½ day morning assignment YHS $50
• Certified Guest Teachers (must submit a current official State of Oklahoma Teaching Certificate)
• $85 per full day / $42.50 per half day
• ½ day morning assignment YHS $56.67

Long-Term Pay Rate:

• Non-certified $85 a day
• Pay bump to $100 a day after day 21
• Certified in specific area $100 a day
• Pay bump to $200 a day after day 21

Incentive Pay:

• Accept & work your first assignment within your first week - $25 stipend
• Work 10 full days - $60 stipend
• Work 25 full days - $5 pay increase for the remainder of the school year
• Work 36 full days - continue at the higher pay rate + 1 50% tuition reduction voucher at SWOSU + Athletics Season pass for the next school year + 1 high school musical ticket for the following school year.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $75.00 - $200.00 per day

Schedule:

• 4 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Self-determined schedule

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Yukon, OK 73099: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
