School of Music in Z Major Ridgewood, NY 11385
$30 an hour
MZM Studio is seeking both an in-person and virtual piano instructor who is dependable, reliable, patient, kind, can work well with both children and adult students, listens to feedback, and has great communication skills. Candidates who are also able to teach guitar would be preferred.
Job duties include:
- Writing post-lesson notes (recap/summary of lesson)
- Assigning music homework
- Preparing students for Music Skills Assessments
- Preparing students for studio recitals
- Utilizing various teaching styles to accommodate each student's learning style
Qualifications
- Experience teaching music to both children and adult students
- Music degree preferred and music education degree highly preferred
- Expertise in piano performance and piano education
