Health and Physical Education Teacher Job at Amherst-Pelham Regional School District
The Amherst-Pelham Regional School District is currently seeking highly qualified candidates for the position of full-time Health and Physical Education teacher at the Amherst Regional High School, which serves students in grades 9-12. This is a 1.0 FTE benefited teaching position with classes scheduled five days per week. Possible courses for 2023-2024 may include: 9th Grade Health, 10th Grade Adventure Challenge, PE Electives, and Child Development.This schedule does include a one semester 75-minute daily Unified PE Course. Qualified candidates will have experience teaching at the high school level and possess an in-depth working knowledge of the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks and National Standards in Health and Physical Education.
Candidates will also need experience or training in Unified Physical Education. Candidates must have valid Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education licenses Health/ Family and Consumer Science and Physical Education at the appropriate grade levels. INTERNAL APPLICANTS: The applicant should be aware that, if she/he is successful and is moving into another district, this transfer will result in the loss of professional teacher status and seniority for purposes of the Reduction in Staff provision of the collective bargaining agreement.Bilingual, bi-cultural applicants are encouraged to apply
