Job Summary:
Under supervision, provides health education to youth through YAM (Youth Aware of Mental Health), engages in school districts communications through TCHATT (Texas Child Health Access Through Telemedicine), and attends and promotes programs at community events. Candidate will have strong interest in outreach and a passion to serve the community, working with youth, families, community programs, and school administration. Candidate will work in a team-based environment, have excellent communication, presentation, and customer service skills. TCHATT is an initiative of the Texas Child Mental Health Care Consortium (TCMHCC), which was created by the 86th Texas Legislature to leverage the expertise and capacity of the health-related institutions of higher education to address mental health challenges and improve the mental health care system in this state in relation to children and adolescents.

Job Duties:
1. Provides TCHATT information sessions and related training to school district employees.
2. Leads or helps with YAM educational programming for students in partnering school districts.
3. Organizes and participates in community forums, health fairs, conferences, and training throughout the region.
4. Generates marketing materials and social media posts to advertise TCHATT, YAM, and other related programs.
5. Provides education/training resources or assistance with community programs through calls, distribution of surveys, scheduling of appointments, or participation in meetings.
6. Maintains accurate and timely documentation of activities and community outreach data for reporting/auditing purposes and assists with monitoring program expenses.
7. Coordinates implementation of healthcare outreach efforts for designated region and maintains current point of contact database for school districts and campus facilities.
8. Serves as liaison between community programs, school districts, and the institution.
9. Performs all other duties as assigned.
Education:
High school diploma or GED is required. Bachelor's degree in related field is strongly preferred.
Experience:
No experience required (Health Educator Assistant). Previous experience working with the adolescent and youth population is preferred.
