Your Specific Responsibilities:
Health Services Representative / HIV Outreach position serves as frontline disease interventionist providing education, counseling, and testing, follow up and referral services with CDC reported target populations and in areas frequented by those populations Diseases in areas such as bars, street outreach, known street drug locales, and community facilities / centers where high risk individuals may be housed / located. This position will be under the supervision of the Human Services Program Specialist.
Coordinates HIV / AIDS Outreach activities, including interviewing clients for HIV, Hepatitis and Other Sexually Transmitted Diseases, completing Pre & Post counseling and testing which involves Orasure, SureCheck, blood draw methods and urine collection. These activities will be directed to those current CDC approved target populations and as directed by the supervisor. Completes necessary paperwork relative to the epidemiological process and activities are to be satisfied utilizing established procedures and protocols, per OSHA, Florida Statues, Department of Health and State of Florida.
Position distributes prevention materials, including pamphlets / Condoms and provides necessary referrals for substance abuse, domestic violence and medical follow up.
Provides HIV / AIDS education, including HIV 101, to community groups, i.e., schools, correctional facilities, substance abuse treatment centers, volunteers and other agencies.
Prepare and maintain records and written reports as required by the program.
Performs related work as requested and required by the supervisor.

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- Valid Driver’s License
Emergency Duty: Incumbent may be required to work before, during and/or beyond normal work hours or days in the event of an emergency. Emergency duty required of the incumbent includes working in special needs or Red Cross shelters, or performing other emergency duties including, but not limited to, responses to or threats involving any disaster or threat of disaster, man-made or natural.
Certification of Acknowledgement – This position is in compliance with and monitors compliance (when applicable) of the mandatory requirements in Section 215.422, Florida Statutes, and Chapter 3A-24, Florida Administrative Code.

Working hours:
Monday thru Friday 8am-5pm
Before, after and weekend hours dependent on outreach actives.
