Helper, Tool Crib Job at Wolfe Industrial
Location: Wolfe Industrial, Inc. shop
Reporting Relationship: Reports to Shop Foreman, dotted line to Tool Crib Lead Man
Supervises: No direct reports
Job Summary:
This person is expected to have a solid understanding of the process required supply the lead men and their crews with the materials they need to complete the jobs that are assigned to. This person must be able to identify common tools and equipment, utilize the forklift to load trucks, secure loads for transport, drive company trucks to deliver products when needed, and stock materials upon arrival from suppliers.
Job Responsibilities:
- Stock goods upon receipt
- Secure loads for transport
- Utilize the forklift to move materials
- Drive company trucks
- Identify common tools and equipment and stock them for future use
- General cleaning of shipping and receiving area
- Other duties as assigned by the Shop Foreman
Context Information:
Will be held solely accountable and responsible for all work performed on the job. All responsibilities will take place in a safe and well-lit environment, whether indoors or outdoors.
Supplementary Information- Machines, Tools, Equipment and Work Aids (MTEWA) required for completion of function
The following items will be utilized by the TOOL CRIB HELPER to successfully fulfill the requirements of this position:
- Forklift
- Company vehicles
- General other light cleaning tools
- Cleaning agents
Minimum Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license
- Current DOT Health Card
- High school diploma, or equivalent
- The ability to read, write, and complete basic mathematic computations
- The ability to drive a manual transmission
- The successful candidate must be able to work relatively independently and exercise judgment and discretion in prioritization of tasks.
- The desire to learn and the eagerness to accept other tasks and learning opportunities as they present themselves
