Franklin County Home Care Services is a proud and trusted community partner. We are accepting applications for one (1) full-time Home Care Aide to provide exceptional personal care and assistance to meet the psychosocial needs of our clients in the County area. You'll work one-on-one will your clients inside their homes to support their basic needs in support of our mission in enhancing our residents' quality of life.

Home Care Aides provide high quality personal care and household services for our families during times of stress or crisis. Examples of services provided may include personal hygiene care, meal preparation, transportation, and simple therapy procedures, and companionship for disabled, elderly, and home bound individuals to help them remain safe and independent at home. Full-time positions are expected to work 35 hours per week but hours can vary with some holidays and/or weekends required.

QUALIFICATIONS: To be a successful Home Care Aide for Franklin County, you must be effective at both verbal and written communication, demonstrate positive conflict resolutions, and effective decision-making and problem-solving skills. You must be able to work independently and in all housing conditions. This position requires the frequent need for bending and standing for long periods of time. Acceptance of this position is contingent on passing of post-offer physical, drug screen, and criminal background check.

EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or G.E.D. required. Completion of a Certified Nursing Assistance course. We will train the right candidate. Valid Iowa driver's license, reliable transportation, and be insurable required.

Our Home Care Aides are an IPERS-covered position. Additionally, Franklin County provides health insurance with full premiums paid on employee-only coverage for full-time positions, dental insurance, flexible savings account, employer-paid life insurance and voluntary coverage for both employees and dependents, a 457b retirement plan, and and paid time off and holidays.
