If you have Intake and/or Scheduling experience with a Medicare home health agency, we invite you to apply. As the Scheduling Coordinator, you will report to our Director of Nursing. You will use your current Medicare guidelines knowledge along with your Intake/scheduling experience to ensure client coverage and satisfaction. You will be part of a fast paced team verifying insurance and communicating with the clinicians in your designated areas, ultimately ensuring our patients receive the legendary service we take pride in delivering.

Responsibilities

  • Completes schedules and hours allocation for all clinicians on a weekly basis
  • Handles prospective client inquiries/in-take calls, establishes initial client records, and determines type of and duration of services necessary to meet client needs
  • Communicates staffing and availability needs to appropriate supervisor and maintains an active communication with clinicians, patients, and supervisors
  • Performs patient insurance eligibility checks
  • Communicates with Physicians' offices and case managers
  • Participates in on-call rotation as assigned
  • Manages all required paperwork and records and prepares documentation ( forms, reports, etc.) when needed
  • Attends all staff meetings, trainings, and educational classes as required
  • Performs other duties as assigned


Qualifications

  • Current experience in intake and/or scheduling within a home health agency required
  • High school diploma or GED required; AA degree preferred
  • Knowledge of scheduling and staffing a must
  • Highly professional and dependable
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and problem solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress
  • Strong organization skills, able to multi-task, and can manage time to meet frequently changing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient computer and internet skills, including Microsoft Office suite
  • Pleasant/friendly demeanor and an outgoing personality

Job Description

Allegiance Home Health and Rehab is looking for an experienced scheduler with Medicare Home Health experience for our Boca Raton corporate office. The scheduler is directly responsible for scheduling visits and communication with field staff, patients, physicians, etc. to maintain proper care coordination and continuity of care. The role also assists with day-to-day office and staff management. The scheduler will also coordinate with field staff if visits assigned were done, make necessary changes and update Clinical Supervisors and Director of Nursing accordingly.
