Job Summary
The FLIK Marketing & Hospitality Director will be responsible for developing and implementing an innovative marketing and merchandising strategy for the Conference Center & Hotels (CCH) and Airport Lounge divisions of the FLIK Hospitality Group. Key responsibilities include: leading all aspects of FOH standards in operations including but not limited to merchandising and marketing initiatives; driving the corporate brand style and standards’ driving amenity innovations; and supporting strategic marketing and communication plans. This role is multifaceted with strategic insights into social media and sales tactics for client properties and airport lounges, special projects for FLIK’s corporate Marketing Department/ Operational Services, and the FLIK divisions which fall under this umbrella.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a deep knowledge of the travel industry as it relates to Conference Centers, non-residential and residential, first-class airline travel and lounges, and the areas in which we operate in this market.
- Accountable for new amenities/services development driven by guest insights in support of innovation and differentiation in the market.
- Assist in the development of marketing programs specific to client portfolios with the corporate FLIK Marketing and Creative Services department and implement initiatives to both divisions.
- Help support operators in their FOH, marketing, and social media efforts through site visitations and account reviews.
- Report quarterly on the success metrics of marketing and sales initiatives for both divisions.
- Develop innovation that continues to keep both divisions current and on-trend with marketing practices and local competition.
- Assist unit operators with their quarterly business reports that summarize the efforts of marketing initiatives in their business.
- Work with corporate sales, marketing, and culinary when needed for regional site tours and refreshes.
- work with the Airline Lounge Guest Experience Managers, and Property Sales and Marketing Managers to ensure the FLIK brand standards are clear, present, and a source of market differentiation in all training materials.
- Assist in the delivery of marketing programs from FLIK to the Airline Lounge Guest Experience Managers/ Property FOH managers to ensure consistent representation of FLIK promotions and events at each location.
- Explore ways of improving existing products and services to increase profitability and customer/client satisfaction scores.
- Maintain image libraries in accordance with the division's and clients’ guidelines to support business development opportunities.
- Strategically support business development and operations in all aspects of FOH and
- marketing working side by side with the corporate sales and marketing teams to drive
- external and internal positioning of the Conference Center & Hotel and Airport Lounge Divisions.
- Manage external communication strategies with the Director of Brand Strategy to
- include social media management, content curation, public relations support, and other storytelling efforts.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and at least 7 years of Marketing, Merchandising, or Hospitality Experience
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills
- Must have a keen sense of visual merchandising, station presentation, and design.
- Knowledge of social media platforms, including content curation
- Excellent writing and communications skills
- Must be proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe suite
- Strong attention to detail, ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
