Join Country Manor as a Housekeeping and Laundry Assistant! This position is only on-call as needed. You'll be a part of an award-winning team, enjoy a hands-on environment and develop relationships with and enrich the quality of life for the individuals and families we serve.

Responsibilities:

• Provide clean linens and supplies
• Ensure that resident and patient's personal clothing is identified, available, clean and in good condition
• Use facility marking system and written procedures in relation to daily distribution to resident and patient rooms, individual clothing needs, and lost/misplaced items
• Maintain a clean, orderly and safe environment in resident and laundry areas
• Perform housekeeping duties such as disinfecting, dusting, mopping, cleaning mirrors, walls and floors, emptying garbage, organizing furniture, vacuuming, and other related duties.
• Use supplies per manufacturer guidelines and take care of cleaning equipment such as carpet cleaners, carts, vacuums etc.
• Keep work area and utility rooms neat, orderly, and safe.
• Maintain good rapport with management, employees, residents, and residents' family members, while displaying patience, tact, and consideration.
• Refer all medical or personal care questions to the nurse in charge.
• Complete all scheduled duties, special projects, and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Ability to follow directions, use supplies per manufacturer guidelines and take care of clothing and equipment
• Attention to detail
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Experience with housekeeping and laundry duties, with general knowledge of cleaning techniques, tools, and supplies, as well as the operation of the cleaning equipment is encouraged. We are happy to train if necessary.
• A mechanical background is a bonus.
• Knowledge of chemical use, hazardous waste, and infection control practices, or willingness to learn.
• Good communication skills to help promote a positive working relationship with management, employees, residents and resident's families
• Self-motivated, with the ability to work under minimal supervision.

This an On Call Only Position. No guaranteed hours
